The Damned

november 18, 2008

”When I look at the events in my life that has led me to this point. I cannot help to think, some of us are damned. Damned to repeat mistakes of old. With an army of guilt and a bottomless regret, we are damned never to dare dream. We are reliving our regret daily, and how we wish we could have done things differently. Always looking back that empty street wondering, what if? We watch life go by in beautiful colors and harmony, only to realize its a fools wish. Our minds eternal damnation reveals to us the true color of our present and future. We are and will remain lifeless and grey. We are not deranged however. We see the deterministic ways in our thinking. Suffice to say, sometimes our ability to rationalize does not erase the feeling of regret and guilt. We are slaves in its grasp. We know this and have come to accept this undeniable fact, because we do not expect anything else. There are some parts of us stil, that wants to belive in a change. Some parts of us filled with naive hope about the future. That even though we seem forever lost in our past, we can stil find the resolve to change our way of thinking and start beliving that we do not have to be stuck between the past and the present. But ultimatly our failures will weigh more, and that naive hope will become but a shadow of a thought.”
